Use a fume board with a bee repellent product like Fischer's Bee Quick to quickly clear bees from honey supers.
Fume boards are our favorite way to remove bees from honey supers. Simply apply Bee Quick to the bottom of the fume board and place it directly on top of your honey super. The black corrugated plastic warms the Bee Quick, which increases its efficiency.
It typically takes about 5 minutes for the bees to vacate the super, but exact times depend on heat, humidity, and the amount of repellent used.
